| The 1st NAITAS General Membership and Business Meeting, 2009 Opening Salvo held on 26 January, at the Citystate Tower Hotel Penthouse was a blast and the most recent talk of the travel and tourism industry!
With its theme, "Work Cooperation Amidst World Challenges", the event was jampacked with members nationwide as far as those coming from Baguio,Pampanga, CALABARZON, Bulacan, Mindoro, and LIPI all eager to learn what is in store for them in this time of global economic crisis.
The Philippine Airlines, the Featured Airline Partner, came in full force, headed by its President, Jaime Bautista to show its support to the association.
Tourism Experts such as our very own Chairman Emeritus Bobby Josepy, Chairman Angel Ramos Bognot, and the DOT Undersecretary for Health and Wellness,C Cynthia Carrion were more than eager to share their thoughts, forecasts, and proposed preventive measures on how the travel and tourism industry, particularly the travel agencies can adapt and fortify their business amidst the world challenges.
In her speech, the President, Sheilla Johnson addressed the concerns and pertinent issues of members, and the year-long program of her administration for the association.
The NAITAS 1st GMBM ended the business meeting and celebrating the Chinese New Year with an energetic performance from the PAL Sales Team, and a serenade from a hot, young, and up & coming all-male band, The Wise Guys. Tons of raffle prizes were drawn including airtickets from PAL.
