| The 3rd Philippine International Tourism Fair 2009 (PITF) was successful held last 25 to 27 June at the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu.
The 3rd PITF 2009 boasts of several outstanding business-oriented activities to educate, encourage, and promote Philippine Tourism both local and international. Such as:
Travel Market Exchange or TRAMEX, - gives Philippine Sellers an opportunity to conduct business-to-business, face-to-face interaction with Foreign Buyers.
Corporate Exhibition or COREX,- PITF, graduating to a full-fledged corporate event, has coined a new term, to showcase tourism property or product in a corporate presentation.
Seminar & Educational Sessions - PITF aims to educate and equip industry professionals, educators, and students, on the latest trends and developments on travel and tourism by inviting highly credible speakers to share and insights and personal experiences on particular topics.
The event was attended by tourism personalities and supporters headed by DOT Secretary Ace Durano, Usec. Oscar Palabyab, Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia, Cebu Congresswoman Nerissa Soon-Ruiz. Around 74 Philippine Sellers and Foreign Buyers participated in the recently concluded 3rd PITF 2009.
PITF was organized by NAITAS in cooperation with the Department of Tourism and the Philippine Convention and Visitors Corporation.
